29 people in 11 JBP member companies attended Japan-India Workshop on Disaster Risk Reduction, 2018 held in India – 9 JBP member companies respectively proposed a project utilizing their DRR technologies and products.

The workshop focused on earthquake and tsunami, and many experts not only from Indian side but also from Japanese side did presentations. Dr. Naoshi Hirata, Professor, University of Tokyo, and Dr. Masumi Yamada, Assistant professor, Disaster Prevention Research Institute, University of Kyoto, from Japan attended the workshop and presented the latest condition of earthquake risk reduction activities in Japan.
The workshop was carried out by a large round-table style. 4 large monitors placed inside of the round-table which was enough for 70 people made all participants to easily understand presentations and to activate discussion.



Many of JBP members could find Indian key persons at the workshop because Indian participants came from various organizations. It was a very valuable opportunity for JBP members in terms of business operation.
