Challenges to Geosphere Water Problems
GET started its activity in 2000 as a venture company from Tokyo University.
We deal with various terrestrial water problems as follows, using a highly integrated numerical simulation system called GETFLOWS developed in Tokyo University in around 2000.
- Water resources problems: analysis of surface/subsurface water resources considering quantity and quality, etc.
- Water disaster problems: prediction of river runoff/inundation and tsunami invasion, slope stability analysis, etc.
- Water environmental problems: pollution of groundwater/soil, pollution of river-groundwater-lake system, urban thermal environment, etc.
Our role is to provide clients quantitative and visualized information and proposal for countermeasure planning and decision making of water problems concerned.
GETFLOWS can model the flows of surface/subsurface water, air, heat, solute, and solid, so that it covers most of the water problems. Over 600 numerical studies have been done up to now by this model, including very small scale to very large scale problems.
