Leading Disaster Prevention Prefecture "KOCHI"

In Kochi Prefecture, where a Nankai Trough earthquake is expected to bring a tsunami of up to 34.4 meters to coastal
regions, the government and residents are coming together to reduce the impact from such a disaster.
Kochi has been plagued not only by earthquakes, but also by typhoons and torrential rainfalls since the old days and has a history of developing new techniques and ideas to deal with those disasters everytime hit by them.
In present-day Kochi, companies, earnestly responding to disaster prevention & mitigation from the past experience hit by disasters and the severe damage expectation coming from a Nankai Trough earthquake, are utilizing their strengths to develop products and technologies to help areas struck by disaster.
