Aqunia Inc. is a climate tech startup that delivers flood and water resource forecasting solutions for countries around the world, built on the research outcomes of "Today's Earth," the global water cycle simulation system developed by the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) and the University of Tokyo, integrated with our own proprietary localization technology.

Even for governments and public agencies in the Global South, where ground-based observation networks remain underdeveloped, our proprietary localization technology, which connects global models to high-resolution local models to deliver greater accuracy, enables the real-world deployment of heavy rain and flood forecasting, helping reduce damage from water-related disasters. In parallel, our water resource forecasting solution addresses the challenge of water scarcity, while our long-term climate change risk assessment solution supports risk analysis and adaptation investment for organizations including private-sector companies, informing climate adaptation decisions across both the public and private sectors.

Going forward, we will continue to advance our flood and water resource forecasting technologies, deepening collaboration with government agencies, local authorities, and private-sector partners both in Japan and abroad, to contribute to more sophisticated early warning systems and climate change adaptation measures.
