The same as this symposium held at Bosai Industry Fair 2017 in Tokyo was very much appreciated by many participants, therefore it was held at the bigger stage, enough for 300 participants, this year. Approximately 250 people, more than we expected, attended the symposium.

 

At first, Professor Satoru Nishikawa, Advisor to JBP as well as Professor of Disaster Mitigation Research Center, Nagoya University gave the key note speech. Fllowing this, Secretary General of JBP, Akira Doi, presented the JBP's policy, mission and strategy to challenge the DRR business world market with Japanese DRR technologies and products. Finally, the private business promotion department of JICA explained the various schemes to assist Japanese companies to extend the business to the world.

 

At the final session, four of JBP member companies such as Kokusai Kogyo Co., Ltd., eTRUST Ltd., Mushugen Industries Co., Ltd., Giken Ltd. explained how we tried to extend the business to the world market utilizing JBP.
