4 JBP member companies present their cutting edge DRR technologies to the leaders of World Bank

07 March, 2019 News
Ms. Julie Dana, who was appointed last year as Manager of GFDRR (Global Facility for Disaster Reduction and Recovery) visited Japan with Mr. Luis Tineo, Senior Operation Officer GFDRR in the beginning of March. JBP was requested to arrange the presentation of cutting edge DRR Japanese technologies to them during their stay in Japan. In response to their request, JBP selected the four member companies to meet their requirements, and these four companies successfully executed the presentations at World Bank Tokyo Office on 5th March.
The World Bank’s objectives of this meeting were not only learning DRR technologies but also what World Bank should do to solve the difficulties to extend these technologies other than Japan. During 30 minutes allocated to each company, World Bank heard by each company how they try to extend to other countries and what are the obstacles following their presentations.
They were very much appreciated for this very effective meeting because it was conducted among a few people with enough time.
JBP will continue to input Japanese DRR technologies to the highest level of DRR experts in the world.
